Anatol Lyabedzka Detained in Mahilyou 17:36, 10/08/2006
While distributing the newspaper “Narodnaya Volya”, in Mahilyou, the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka and his assistant Ihar Shynkaryk. Anatol Lyabedzka managed to inform the press service of the United Civil Party that he had presented a passport to policemen before detention.
Anatol Lyabedzka was heading to Mahilyou to a meeting with a political prisoner Artur Finkevich, who is serving the sentence in one of the special detention facilities of Mahilyou. However, policemen transported Artur to an unknown location. A mobile phone of Artur Finkevich is not responding.
In Mahilyou Anatol Lyabedzka gave judges a booklet by the UCP National Committee about judicial reform.
