Belarusian Prime Minister Charges Gazprom with Breaching Agreements 13:26, 11/08/2006
Syarhei Sidorski, Belarusian Prime Minister, states that the intention of the joint stock company Gazprom to start Russian gas delivery to Belarus at European prices run contrary to the key agreements in the framework of the “union state” for creation of equal conditions for economic entities.
“Statements of Gazprom are incompatible with the inter-governmental agreements on creation of equal conditions in the sphere of price policy and creation for economic entities,” Belarusian Prime Minister stated in an interview to the magazine “Soyuznoe gosudarstvo”.
S. Sidorski said that “currently the sides are taking steps to work out an optimal solution”. The head of the Belarusian government expressed confidence that “the negotiation process would end successfully”.
