Belarusian TV Shoots Film about Milinkevich :: Charter'97 :: News

As the press service of the leader of the united democratic forces of Belarus has found out, a filming crew of the state TV channel has visited Bershty, Shchuchyn region, a native village of Alyaksandr Milinkevich.

The filming crew was in the village for more than an hour. TV crew was first of all interested by a wooden house belonging to the leader of united democratic forces. They have made some interviews with dwellers of the village, asking about their attitude towards Alyaksandr Milinkevich.

As we have informed, during the election campaign the village of Bershty, which is situated in frontier zone in the forest on the border with Lithuania, was under close surveillance of special services. Policemen often carried out an operation “Illegal alien”, checking documents of each person entering or leaving the settlement; policemen with truncheons were patrolling the streets. One of deserted buildings near Alyaksandr Milinkevich’s house was used as a lookout post for observing the house of the leader of the united democratic forces.
