Minsk authorities have allowed to hold “Big jeans Festival” on September 16. The event, a meeting and a concert, is to start at 4 p.m. on Bangalore Square. “Big Jeans Festival” will be also held as an action of solidarity with the families of abducted Belarusian politicians and Belarusian prisoners of conscience.
The organizers of the event “Big Jeans Festival” Pavel Yukhnevich, Alyaksei Shydlouski and Viktar Ivashkevich have received an answer of the Minsk city executive committee signed by the deputy chairman of Minsk city executive committee Mikhail Tsitsyankou, stating that city authorities do not allow a demonstration from Kastrychnik cinema house along Independence avenue and Surganau Street to the Nations’ Friendship Park, as “it would create obstacles for traffic and pedestrians in the district of those streets”.
Minsk city executive committee sanctioned a meeting on September 16, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Nations’ Friendship Park on Bangalore Square.
