Yesterday evening activists of the youth democratic movement laid red and white flowers to the building of the US Embassy. Candles in the shape of large number 11 and two towers of the World Trade Center were put near the flowers.

On September 11, 2001 one of the largest and most bloody terrorist attacks took place in America. This terrible tragedy has become a challenge to the whole civilized world. It was a crime against the whole humankind. People must know about it and remember that day to save this world from the dreadful disease of terrorism…

Actions are usually accompanied by presence of a gear number of KGB officers and police. And even on this day of remembrance this unavoidable guards were there. About thirty men in plainclothes with cameras and many policemen gathered to observe two dozens of concerned young activists. One should add that security guards of the Embassy many times asked the KGB officers to stop unsanctioned videotaping of the Embassy and the action of solidarity, however all requests were ignored.
