Human Rights Activist Katsyaryna Sadouskaya Reminded Lukashenka About His Diagnosis 13:17, 22/09/2006
The chairman of the Belarusian branch of Pskov regional branch “Veche” Katsyaryna Sadouskaya is charged with insulting Alyaksandr Lukashenka. As a PAI reporter was told by a coordinator of the movement Venedikt Dostovalov, at the moment K. Sadouskaya is under arrest and studies the materials of the case. “Insult has been found in the letters about the president’s activities sent by her to different bodies,” V. Dostovalov supposes. “K. Sadouskaya used a conclusion of a psychiatrist published in Belarusian press, in which Lukashenka had been called mentally ill”.
Now Pskov branch of Veche movement is rendering moral support to the detainee and sending letters to different international organizations with a request to monitor the objectivity of the accusation and an appropriate treatment of K. Sadouskaya, as she is a pensioner and a disabled person.
KGB officers detained Sadouskaya on July 21. Later she was placed to a Republican clinical hospital Navinki. A month ago she was transferred to a remand prison of Minsk city executive committee. The criminal case of Sadouskaya has been forwarded to the court of Tsentralny district of Minsk.
