NEWS  Rectors of Czech Universities Demand to Release Alyaksandr Kazulin 14:12, 21/12/2006 A Czech conference of rectors, an official association uniting rectors of all Czech universities, has adopted a special statement condemning repressions against a former candidate for presidency in Belarus, a former rector of the Belarusian State University, a political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin, and to release him. As we have informed, the Czech government has addressed the Belarusian authorities with the same demand. “The Czech republic calls upon Belarusian authorities to release an oppositional leader Alyaksandr Kazulin and provide emergency medical care to him,” the statement of the Foreign Ministry of he Czech Republic reads.
