“When negotiations with Alexei Miller were taking place, I told him: “You know, two of us are responsible not only for solving the gas problem or set a joint venture, these are minor points. The issues of the union of Russia and Belarus, about relations between the states are at question. People say: love and hate are only few steps away,” V. Semashko said.

On the other hand, he continued: “I cannot imagine our children and grandchildren freezing”. “Have you seen a documentary film with children wrapped up in jackets, jersey, blankets in Leningrad?” the Belarusian official told to the head of the Russian gas concern.
