Anastasiya Aleksandrovich Released Until February 1 16:53, 15/01/2007
The trial over the young activist Anastasiya Aleksandrovich has been postponed till February 1. The Charter`97 press-center has been informed about that by a human rights activist Iryna Toustsik. At today`s trial in the court of Frunzenski district of Minsk policemen who were not taking part in detention arrived as witnesses for the prosecution. For that reason the trial was rescheduled.
As we have informed, the girl was detained on January 12 in the evening. Policemen in mufti burst into her apartment. The wire of the phone was cut off by them. The girl was charged with violating Article 156 of the Administrative Code (petty hooliganism). The activist has spent 2 days before the court in the remand prison in Akrestsyn Street.
