NEWS  Commemoration Candles to be Lit in Kurapaty Today 11:16, 30/01/2007 Belarusian civil committee on commemoration of Stalin repressions victims’ memory has supported a proposal of Russian human rights activists to hold a ceremony of innocently perished people on every 30th day of every month. As Radio Svaboda was told by a distinguished historian of Stalin repressions, a chairman of the steering committee Ihar Kuznyatsou, representatives of the international historical and educational, charitable and human right society Memorial from the city of Syktyvkar (Russia) addressed hi with that proposal. The steering committee called upon the Belarusian civil society to organize commemoration of Stalinism victims in the places of mass executions. Today ay 3 p.m. candles will be lit in Kurapaty.
