Democratic Forces Decided to Hold Mass Rally on March 25 11:29, 01/02/2007
On January 31 at the session of the Political Council of the United Democratic forces adopted a decision to hold a Congress of democratic forces on March 17-18. the Political Council of the United democratic forces has also reached a decision to hold a mass protest rally on March 25.
The leader of the United Civil party Anatol Lyabedzka has called upon drafting a so-called “little Constitution” and a platform containing answers to relevant questions people often ask. “It means an alternative, and we can go to people after the congress and use it as a platform for the election campaign 2008,” Anatol Lyabedzka said.
The Political Council of the United democratic forces has also decided to stage a mass rally on March 25, on the day when the Belarusian People’s Republic was proclaimed. Earlier some politicians suggested holding a rally on March 19, on the anniversary of the presidential election in Belarus when mass protests against rigged election results were held.
