French consul in Belarus Josette Mira has met with a car accident at the crossing of Kamunistychnaya and Kujbyshau Street in Minsk. Her car Citroen crashed into a jeep Toyota. The diplomat and a driver were taken to a hospital.
Citroen’s hood, bumper and headlight are broken. The heavy jeep is less wrecked.
Representatives of the 9th hospital of Minsk say that the life of the consul is out of danger. Her arm is broken, and her head injured. As said by doctors, her arm was put in plaster, and she signed out from the hospital. Driver has a scratch on his back. The driver of the jeep hasn’t been injured.
Minsk traffic policemen are in charge of the accident investigation.
“It was a rather serious crash. According to preliminary reports, the jeep driver was responsible for the accident. However, only investigation can draw a line under this case”, policemen say.
