The Lukashou’s case has been submitted to the court :: Charter'97 :: News

The case of Kanstantsin Lukashou, brother of the public activist Vyachaslau Siuchik, was submitted to the Leninsky district court of Minsk, V Siuchik has informed the BelaPAN. The date of the lawsuit has not been appointed yet.

V Siuchik does not exclude the forgery of the criminal case not only with regard to Lukashou but with regard to the militiaman who had been supposedly ran down by the Lukashou’s car.»I am not sure that the “aggrieved” militiaman was actually present at the premises of the third Minsk city hospital where I was being taken from by my brother. I was not even interrogated as a witness of this case. As far as I know, not long ago a simultaneous questioning of Lukashou and that militiaman was held and Kanstantsin didn’t recognize him”, V Siuchik said,” but I can declare that with hundred percent assurance only after meeting the “aggrieved” militiaman. I have remembered him firmly and for long”, V Siuchik declared.

According to V Siuchik, it is very cold in the cell of the prison in Valadarskogo Street in Minsk where Lukashou has been kept. “Kanstantsin even applied for a medical examination and x-ray test as he suspected pneumonia .The examination was taken and the pneumonia was rejected but almost all the people in his cell caught cold “,V Siuchik told.

It is to be mentioned that Kanstantsin Lukashou was detained on19 December. As far as we are informed, he was blamed for his car knocking off the militiaman on 29 March last year when he was taking V Siuchik from the surgery of the third Minsk city hospital. The unknown people with the identification cards of officers of the ministry for internal affairs tried to arrest the public activist for supposed public abuse but V Siuchik managed to escape with his brother’s help.
