Former Culture Minister Appointed New Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus 12:23, 07/02/2007
President Viktor Yushchenko has appointed Ihor Likhovoy Ukraine’s Ambassador to Belarus. As the “Ukrainskie Novosti” inform, it has been stated in the presidential Decree No.80/2007 of February 6.
The Decree states: “Ihor Likhovoy is appointed Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Belarus”.
On May 29, 2006 Viktar Yushchenko relieved Valentin Nalivajchenko of his duties of Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus.
On November 1, 2006 the Supreme Rada dismissed Likhovoy of his duty of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine, which had been occupied by him since October 5, 2005.
