General manager of the”Gomeltransneft”Druzhba” unitary enterprise Alyaksei Kastsyuchenka considers it inefficient for Russia to increase power of the Baltic pipeline system.
“It is Russia’s business, but in terms of effectiveness, benefit of our route it’s a too hasty decision”, A. Kastsyuchenka declared at the press conference in Minsk. “Our route is the most purposeful, beneficial and ecologically safe”, A.Kastsyuchenka said, stressing that over USD 50 million were being invested annually into re-equipment of the transport network. “Among these is the system of qualitative and quantitative control of oil, building of new tanks, modern Japanese pump stations. To lose them does not seem to be a logical decision”, A. Kastsyuchenka considers.
Moreover, according to the general manager’s of the”Gomeltransneft”Druzhba” unitary enterprise estimation, Russia may implement the project on the power increase of the Baltic pipeline system within 2-3 years, Interfax reports.
