On February 18 at 12.30 p.m. in the public hall of St.Cyril`s of Turau Cathedral in Brooklyn a screening of the film “The Square” (“Ploshcha”) by Yury Khaschavatski is to take place.
The film covers the events of March 2006 in Minsk, when dozens of thousands of people gathered to defend their choice and their country from falsifications and total lies during the presidential election.
“A new force has emerged in the country. I mean the youth. They have different values, their own views and are not afraid to stand up for them. They speak Belarusian, they know their history and want to revive Belarus through thick and thin,” Yury Khaschavatski said speaking about his film “The Square”.
An internet source belmov.org informs that St.Cyril`s of Turau Cathedral’s address is 401 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217; phone number: +17182371600.
