An action “Week of Solidarity with Political Prisoners in Belarus” continues in Warsaw. About a dozen of Belarusians who live in Warsaw gathered near the building of Belarusian embassy on February 13. They had white –red-white flags, huge portraits of a political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin, and posters “Freedom to political prisoners!”, “Lukashenka’s power is illegal”.
Participants of the rally demanded Polish authorities to negotiate with the Belarusian regime only on condition of release of political prisoners, Radio Svaboda informs.
“Nothing has changed in Belarus. Young people are repressed, political prisoners – Kazulin, Finkevich, Sevyarynets – are staying in prisons,” told the organizer of the rally Ihar Kryshton.
Today, on St. Valentine’s Day, the Belarusians are to stage a picket near Adam Mickiewicz monument.
