“It has happened so that Belarus appeared at a crossing of European roads. We are opened to everything good and constructive which comes to us no matter from which part of the world. But we wouldn’t allow interfering with our internal affairs. Our main aim is to screen Belarusian people from imposing of somebody else’s will and from violence,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka said today at a reception of the key personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and law-enforcing agencies on Fatherland defender`s day.
Belarus is able to develop in modern situation successfully and to withstand threats and challenges, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said. As said by the leader of the state, “the situation on the planet does not constitute grounds for complacency”. Terrorism and local wars are destabilizing countries and whole regions. An urge for a dictate of power, political extremism, informational wars are shattering regional and global stability, Alyaksandr Lukashenka underlined.
“Our state border has become a reliable barrier for trans-national crime. But we have never viewed our border as a dividing line between East and West,” A. Lukashenka noted.
