On March 30 a political situation in the country and carrying out of coalition talks were discussed. The preparation and realization of Freedom Day on March 25 in Minsk have received appreciation. Even the authorities had to recognize that day as an independence holiday indirectly. The experience of March 25 has shown that there is a potential of protest in the society. In the nearest spring weeks the attention of the Belarusian Popular Front party would be concentrated on the “Path of Chernobyl” (“Charnobylski Shliakh”) in Minsk and in regions.

According to recommendations of the commission, at the nearest session of the Political Council of the United democratic forces, in April the chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front party Vintsuk Vyachorka offers to concentrate on preparation to mass rallies: “the Path of Chernobyl on March 26 and Labour Day (May 1).

V. Vyachorka will insist on adoption of basic provisions of the draft agreement “Compromise for the sake of unity” by all subjects of the United democratic forces. It stipulates holding of the United democratic forces congress in May, after gaining understanding on decisions of the Congress by all major political forces.

The political commission is a consultative structure consisting of a chairman, a deputy chairman, heads of commissions and leaders of regional structures of the Belarusian Popular Front party.
