“It is clear we haven’t been pasting anything. But policemen approached us, checked our passports, and said that those leaflets contained libel against the president. They took us to a police office in a metro station. Strange to say, they found a witness, some commander of a military unit, who allegedly saw us pasting leaflets,” K. Shatsikava said.
As said by her, from a police office they were taken to a police department of Savetski district of Minsk. No reports were drawn up against them. After identification and after we provided written explanations everybody was released, K. Shatsikava said.
In the evening V. Chubarova left for Moscow. “When we were detained, we were on our way to see her to the station. She was almost late because of the actions of policemen. However, she managed to leave for Moscow,” K. Shatsikava noted.
