Meeting of Russia and Belarus “unity” had 10 participants (Photo)

Today a meeting dedicated to the so-called “day of unity” of Russia and Belarus was held in Minsk in Bangalore Square. The rally was organized by former deputies of the Belarusian “parliament” Valery Fralou and Syarhei Skrabets. According to reports if human rights activists of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee who observed the meeting, the event on Bangalore Square lasted for 20 minutes, and had just 10 participants.

Here is the chronicle of the events at the rally:

2.05 p.m. The meeting dedicated to the “day of unity” of Belarus and Russia started on Bangalore Square. Organizers of the meeting are S. Skrabets and V. Fralou.

2.15 p.m. Streamers “Freedom to Kazulin!” and “With Russia without Lukashenka” unfurled. There were only 10 people there. A national white-red-white flag, a state red-green flag and a Russian flag were flying over the stage. 15 journalists are observing the rally. Several riot policemen and policemen maintain the order.

2.18 p.m. Streamers are hidden.

2.25 p.m. Skrabets expressed thanks to all present. In his short speech he told that Belarus is to cooperate with Russia, as the closest neighbour, forever. But importance of Europe should not be forgotten. A demand to release political prisoners was expressed. The meeting finished.
