An exhibition “Together” of a creative association “Pahonya” of the Belarusian Union of Artists opened on April 3 in the Palace of Arts in Minsk. The exhibition dedicated to Freedom Day includes more than 100 items of oil painting, graphic artworks, applied and decorative arts.
Among the most striking works of the exhibition are the series of pictures by Ales Pushkin “Hands of Belarusians”. The artist depicted hands of a pregnant woman, of a baby, a musician and a farmer, bound with red and green barbed wire, BelaPAN informs.
Opening the exhibition, the chairman of the Belarusian Union of Artists Uladzimir Basalyha underlined that over the last years “Pahonya” has prepared more exhibitions than any other section of the union.
A painter Alyaksei Marachkin rang the “Bell of Freedom”, reminding that that artwork was arrested a year ago and was kept in prison for 21 day.
