BPF Leader Vintsuk Vyachorka to Stand Trial Today 10:09, 04/04/2007
Today at 10 a.m. a case of the chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front party Vintsuk Vyachorka is to be tried in the court of Savetski district of Minsk. Yesterday, on April 3, the press-service of the Belarusian Popular Front party invited everybody to come to the building of the court and support Vyachorka. The trial over an oppositionist Vyachaslau Siuchyk is scheduled for today as well.
As we have informed, trials were to take place on Marc 23. However, as Vyachorka was ill at that moment, the trial was postponed to April 4. The trial over Siuchyk was scheduled for the same day. Siuchyk had allegedly been late for a sitting of the court, so the judge postponed the trial fro April.
On March 13 a report for petty hooliganism was filed against V. Vyachorka (he allegedly used foul speech). Vyachaslau Siuchyk had been accused of petty hooliganism as well. They both were detained and spent a night in a remand prison in Akrestsin Street.
