Alexander Lukashenko heads for Oman 13:06, 14/04/2007
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has left on an official visit to Oman, BelTA learnt in the presidential press service. In Muscat, the capital of Oman, Alexander Lukashenko will meet with Sultan Qaboos Bin Said to discuss issues on boosting bilateral cooperation, first of all, in the trade-economic sphere. The Belarusian president wil also meet with the deputy prime minister of Oman. The negotiations are planned to result in agreements on avoidance of double taxation and tax evasion and agreements between chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Oman.
After the visit to Oman, Alexander Lukashenko will head to India. In New Delhi the president will meet with Indian president Abdul Kalam as well as with the vice president, prime minister and foreign minister. Negotiations in New Delhi will focus on boosting sci-tech cooperation between the two countries.
