Lawyer of Kazulin dismissed at his own request :: Charter'97 :: News

The Minsk Regional Bar satisfied lawyer of Alyaksandr Kazulin Igar Rinkevich’s personal request of his dismissal. According to I. Rinkevich, late on Wednesday the Bar convened its extraordinary sitting where the above-mentioned decision was made. That day the lawyer himself was at the Regional Bar but nevertheless the sitting was held without his participation .

I.Rinkevich remarked that there was no problem in inviting him to the sitting, the BelaPAN reported.

The lawyer was ready to recall his application for dismissal because he lodged the claim for the disciplinary penalty imposed on him 15 April. According to I. Rinkevich, the Bar could not be unaware of the fact.

As the lawyer reported, he was made to face the fact of his dismissal from the Bar. “Before my dismissal I managed to implement all assignments of Alyaksandr Kazulin. Now my defense of Kazulin will take another form”, I. Rinkevich said.

His application for dismissal was motivated by pressure exerted on his colleagues from the Bar for the reason of his professional activities concerned with defending A.Kazulin.
