Trial over Young Activist Postponed for March 25 13:03, 24/04/2007
On the request of a lawyer who could not take part in the court session today, consideration of the case of the “Belarusian Popular Front Youth” activist Andrei Ihnatovich is to take place in the court of Funzenski district of Minsk on April 25.
A young activist is charged with violation of the article on order of organizing mass rallies, which turned out while he handed out leaflets with a call to take part in Charnobylski Shlyakh.
As the human rights center Viasna informs, on April 23 law-enforcers from Frunzenski district police department arrived to the apartment of the young activist and told him to follow them. As they hadn’t explained the reason of their visit, and the place where they offered to go, Andrei Ihnatovich refused. After a short conversation policemen forcibly took the young man with them, having pushed mother out of the way.
