Another Criminal Case brought against Yaraslau Grischenya :: Charter'97 :: News

10 May a juvenile youth activist Yaraslau Grischenya was informed that another criminal case was brought against him. A corresponding resolution was handed in to him by investigator of the Baranavichi city department for internal affairs Yulia Askaldovich.

It runs that after Yaraslau Grischenya’a claim on voluntary termination of his participation in the Young Front activities made to the Baranavichi city department for internal affairs 20 April 2007 he “actually continued his participation in this unregistered public association during the “Chernobyl Way “action 26 April 2007 that has been proved by vide-recorded information”, the press-service of the regional public prosecutor’s office.

On the bases of that evidence the Baranavichi public prosecutor, senior justice official Alyaksandr Smal made a decision on bringing the criminal case in compliance with Article 193-1of the Criminal Code (activities on behalf of the unregistered organization) and transferred the case to the investigation division of the Baranavichi city department for internal affairs “for conducting the preliminary investigation”.

Yaraslau Grischenya was subpoenaed by Yulia Askaldovich.
