Human rights activist Katsyaryna Sadouskaya denied early release 17:31, 11/05/2007
Katsyaryna Sadouskaya has told about that in a letter home from Homel women colony. According to human rights activist, a commission in the colony twice studies her characteristics and decided that “the prisoner is not mending her ways”.
“There are no disciplinary penalties. However members of the prison commission didn’t like answers to some questions they asked K. Sadouskaya. For instance, she was asked who s the most intelligent person in Belarus. She didn’t answer, though she was pushed just to say the name of this person,” Kazimir Sadouski, the husband of the human rights activist, said to Radio Svaboda.
An officer on duty of Homel women colony didn’t want to comment on information about K. Sadouskaya and refused to tell the phone number of the director of the colony Svyatlana Pokhadava.
As we have infirmed, a human rights activist Katsyaryna Sadouskaya had been sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment on charges relating insult of A. Lukashenka.
