NEWS  Ambassadors of Great Britain and Slovakia not allowed to visit political prisoner Finkevich 15:53, 17/05/2007 Administration of the corrective facility No.43 of Mahilyou hasn’t allowed H.M. Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Minsk Mr. Brian Bennett and Slovak Charge d`affaires ad interim Lubomir Rehak to meet with the political prisoner Artur Finkevich. The Charter’97 press-center has been informed about that on the phone by the political prisoner. As said by Artur Finkevich, diplomats who arrived to Mahilyou on May 16 to meet with him, were told that a permission by the penal jurisdiction department of the Interior Ministry of Belarus was needed for a visit.
