Today in the Vitebsk district court the administrative cases of youth activists Genadz Sharakh, Zmitzer Lysienka, Alyaksandr Dzeravyanka and Andrei Danileusky were bought to trial. Yesterday the youths were guarded to the Vitebsk isolation ward .The activists had been detained at the Pervamaisky court of Vitebsk where the had come for rendering their support to the rights defender Valery Schukin.
Today Alyaksandr Lukashenka dismissed head of the Minsk regional executive council Mikalai Damashkevich. On June 6 in the evening a Protestant minister, Polish citizen Jaroslaw Lukasik was deported from Belarus. The Charter’97 press-center has been informed about that by a young leader Paval Sevyarynets. Activists were detained before trial near the court of Pershamajski district of Vitsebsk. They had come there to support human rights activist Valery Shchukin. A trial over Shchukin started yesterday.
About two dozens of people, mostly young, were disbanded by policemen near the former Bernardine monastery in Minsk. At 8 p.m. young people gathered for a prayer service, and in a few minutes policemen arrived, Radio Svaboda informs. One of the policemen who presented himself as a district police officer of Tsentralny district of Minsk, and told to those present that to gather for prayer service is possible only on permission of city authorities.
