Belarus and Russia will implement a joint project on making two spacecrafts, Prime Minister of Belarus Syarhei Sidorski said today when meeting with State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia “union state” Pavel Borodin.
In pursuance of the order given by the Belarusian head of state Belarus intends to launch a spacecraft in 2009, Syarhei Sidorski said. The spacecraft will be developed jointly with the Russian colleagues, he underlined. Belarus and Russia plan to make two spacecrafts.
The Prime Minister has noted that Belarus has developed a set of the Union State programmes, which are planned to be considered at the forthcoming meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers scheduled for June 29 in Moscow. Among them – proposals to draw up a programme of the Union State “Development of base elements and technologies of creating and applying orbital and ground means of the multifunctional space system” (Space-NT).
