Minsk Dwellers can ski and skate on July 3

As head of the ideological department of the Minsk Municipal Executive Committee Henadz Kurbieka said, a range of festivities is planned to be held in Minsk on the Day of liberation of Minsk from fascist troops.

According to H.Kurbieka, a sporting feast will take place on July 1 in Peramozhtsau Avenue, starting from 9 a.m.; the feast will include ski-roller and skate-roller rounds, performances of football players, weightlifters, horsemen, as “Interfax” reports.

H.Kurbieka said the solemn ceremony of wreath placing was to take place at 11 a.m. on July 3 on Victory Square.

A military parade and a youth sporting feast are to be held on July 3 in Peramozhtsau Avenue. According to H.Kurbieka, a festive concert is to take place at 9 p.m. by the stele Minsk - hero city, and a festive firework is to be held at 11 p.m.

He also remarked that participants of the feast would sing the Belarusian anthem altogether at 10.55 p.m., before the firework.

Henadz Kurbieka added that an artificial skating ring would be set up for the Day of liberation of Minsk from fascist troops: “An artificial skating ring will be set up by July 3 near the Sports Palace in Peramozhtsau Avenue.”

According to H.Kurbieka, weather will be too hot for the skating ring to be kept for a long time, “but it will be quite possible to have a ride there.”
