Orda against whole Europe
11:24, 10/07/2007

The official Belarusian delegation remained dissatisfied with the adopted OSCE Parliamentary Assembly resolution on Belarus. The “house of representatives” deputy Mikhail Orda already announced yesterday to BelaPAN that the two heterogeneous issues (energy security and Belarusian issue) raised in one report contradict “logics and common sense”. According to him, many other parliamentarians are of the same opinion .The Belarusian party was supported by Ukrainians, Greeks, Italians and Swiss.

2 July during the final voting the Belarusian issue and energy security were nevertheless separated and voted separately. But this fact didn’t change the attitude towards the document. “The nastiest thing is that the resolution starts with the statement that Belarus threatens the European security”, M.Orda remarks. “The country which has never threatened anyone, which was among the first to take the measures against terrorism, which though being a transit country eliminated the drag traffic! We are putting barriers to illegal migration. Just on the contrary, today we are the donors of the European security. And if now we start manipulating the concept of security it is unpredictable where we are going to appear in the near future”. The Belarusian parliamentarian considers that today France with its Moslem issues and massacres is very threatening to Europe. But in Belarus it is quiet, there are no gangsters, no humanitarian problems, M.Orda added. “What does it mean? It means nothing but prejudice”. M.Orda also severely criticized the British and US electoral systems and suggested to make the comparative analysis of all suffrages of 56 countries of the OSCE to make the basis for developing of the general criteria for this organization.
