Belarusian banks are offered to grant Br 680 billion loans both in Belarusian rubles and in foreign currency for construction and reconstruction and technical re-equipment and maintenance of objects of the agricultural productive complex. The offer is contained in the President’s Order # 313 of

Prosecutor of Minsk Lenin district Aliaksiey Stuk, who participated in the investigations on the criminal case on former candidate for the Presidential post Aliaksandar Kazulin, has recently been promoted. Now he holds the position of deputy Public Prosecutor of Minsk. In addition, judge of Moscow district of Minsk Aliaksiey Rybakou, who judged on Kazulin’s criminal case, became the judge of Minsk municipal court.
Persecution of activists of the unregistered “Young Front” continues. For today two criminal actions have been brought up against activists under articles which are “popular” in this situation, “activities on behalf of an unregistered organization”. Recently the court of Salihorsk district received the criminal case of the Salihorsk branch of the Young Front, a 16-year-old Ivan Shyla. He has submitted a written undertaking not to leave the place. The trial is expected to start in the beginning of August. Recently Ivan Shyla got acquainted with materials of his criminal case which consists of 5 volumes. The Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE held in Kiev created a precedent by adopting for the first time a separate resolution on a separate country, i.e., on Belarus. The resolution contains the condition for Alyaksandr Lukashenka: the Belarusian authorities have to participate in the international conference on the situation in their home country and promulgate the measures taken for democratization of the parliamentary elections appointed for the next year autumn, the Nezavisimoya Gazeta writes. Otherwise the efforts of the Belarusian ruler to create the image of the new European-oriented Belarus will be in vain.
Belarus and Venezuela are set to work out joint measures aimed at increasing effectiveness of Belarusian-Venezuelan cooperation, and to give it necessary dynamics. In the colony Artur met with human rights activist Ludzmila Graznova, who afterwards wrote an article, published in the newspaper “Svobodnyie Novosti Plus”, on the life of the political prisoner in jail. After that head of Magiliou special commandant’s office lieutenant colonel Aliaksandar Lamaza warned Artur that a criminal case could be initiated against him as a regime persistent disturber and that the place of imprisonment could be altered. Ludzmila Graznova comments on the situation to the press-center of Charter’97.
Youth activist Aliaksandar Reznikau attends the High Theater School of Krakow on the Kalinouski program. He had been a student of Minsk Theater University and an actor of the Belarusian Drama Theater before the events that took place last March on Kalinouski Square where he was one of the camp’s defenders. On those days, after playing Harold in Shakespeare’s “King Lire”, Aliaksandar came to the Square and stayed there all nights long.
The chief ideologist of Valozhyn district has ordered to hold up the camp set up by the evangelists, and to present a list of everyone who resides there. Lawyers consider the order unreasonable and illegal. The camp was organized by the community of Religious Association of Christians of the Whole Gospel “Jesus Christ Church” of Minsk.
