A wide range of bi-lateral relationship issues in various spheres as well as cooperation within the framework of international organizations was discussed in the course of the talks of State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Viktar Sheiman and minister for foreign affairs of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro .The talks were held 11 July during the official visit of the Belarusian Government’s delegation to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela headed by State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Viktar Sheiman.
As the BelTA correspondent was informed at the press-centre of the state Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus the concrete agreements on active relationship between Belarus and Venezuela have been made in political and economic spheres, on joint actions within the framework of the Non-Alliance Movement as well as on conducting mutual consultations and regular information exchange on political issues.
Special attention was paid to development and intensification of cooperation in economic spheres. Viktar Sheiman and Nicolas Maduro discussed the projects on creation joint ventures for assembling Belarusian technical equipment at the territory of Venezuela, on the joint mining of oil fields in Venezuela. Both sides confirmed the importance and significance of the proper preparation for arranging the National Exhibition of the Republic of Belarus in Venezuela next year and agreed on continuation of the work on improvement of the regulatory legal basis for cooperation.
As it was pointed out by Viktar Sheiman, Belarus and Venezuela have been recently demonstrating their mutual understanding of a wide range of issues. Thanks to this the relations between the countries are continuously progressing. The current task is to move the relations to a new stage, to make maximum advancement along the route of realization of actual projects for economic cooperation, stressed Sheiman.
Activities of the Belarusian and Venezuelan experts and the talks between the State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Viktar Sheiman and minister for power engineering and oil of Venezuela Rafael Ramires resulted in achieving the practical agreement on creation of the “VenBelNeft” joint venture for oil mining at the Guara Este and Lagamedia oil fields with perspective of adding other Venezuelan oil fields to the assets of this venture. The VenBelNeft is to start oil mining this year.
Practical agreements are also made on creation of the Belarusian and Venezuelan joint ventures for manufacturing of lorries, road construction equipment and tractors, for performing planning and surveying as well as construction and erection activities for gasification of Venezuelan cities. The creation of the construction materials production has come to its final stage. The contracts on general plans development of new cities of Venezuela and construction of the dwelling area of the Teherias city have been signed. The Venezuelan party additionally proposed to build another three enterprises for ceramics, metal -concrete blocks manufacture in the Barinas state as well to establish the corresponding joint venture. ...
The Belarusian party, in its turn, proposed to realize the joint project for construction of dwelling sites and industrial enterprises with the required social infrastructure
It is important to mention that all those envisaged steps will be put on the concrete economic platform. In the course of the visit the issues have been developed and the actions of both parties have been coordinated on creation of the Belarusian – Venezuelian Investment Fund designated for financing of all declared joint projects. The Venezuelan party investments to this fund comprised USD500 billion.
