Ukrainians drawing political graffiti about Belarus (Photo) 12:35, 17/07/2007
16 July in Kiev the traditional monthly action of solidarity with the democratic forces of Belarus was taken. This time its participants drew attention of the Ukrainian public and mass media to the issue of a too strict punishment for the political graffiti drawing in Belarus.
According to the Radio Svaboda the action participants pointed out that in the other countries a person may be detained for wall drawings and signatures, but in Belarus such detainment may threaten them not only with administrative but with criminal persecution in case the graffiti is directed against the Belarusian authorities.
Everyone who wishes may try his abilities of the political graffiti drawings at veneer screens deliberately installed next to the embassy. The action participants were expressing in drawings and writings their understanding of the situation in Belarus.
