The head of the deputy group “Respublika” in the previous chamber of representatives General Valery Fralou forecasts that the new chairman of the KGB of Belarus Yury Zhadobin is to concentrate on political guidance this organization.

As Radio Svaboda informs, a former deputy knows Zhadobin personally as a combined-arms general:

“He is to become rather a political, not a professional chief. There are people there who can demonstrate professionalism. It seems to me that he knows different subtleties and relations in top echelons of power. That is why he would have rather a political than KGB role as such. Zhadobin was near Lukashenka, that is why he knows in detail all peculiar features of the power; who is supporting whom and why. If he will orientate professionals to this particular line of policy, knowing relations between different persons and groups, to my mind he will be a very strong support to the president,” the former deputy personally knowing Zhadobin believes.
