Putin’s cult is gaining momentum 12:27, 20/07/2007
A kolkhoz (collective farm) named after Vladimir Putin has appeared in the village of Gornovka, Altai Territory. According to Izvestia, in this way a local entrepreneur Alexandr Titov has decided to express his gratitude to the president for his toil.
“In half a year, this person will vacate his position. And I would like the memory about the president to stay!” told Titov. As the entrepreneur says, “grain should be grown and cows milked” with the name of Putin, NEWSru.com informs.
“Kolkhoz named after Putin” previously was a part of a larger farm, a state pedigree farm named after the 50th anniversary of the USSR. Only a little part of them stayed cooperative societies. But some of former and existing collective farms named after Lenin preserved their names.
