At the Gazprom’s office in Moscow the negotiations are still underway between the representatives of the Russian concern and the Belarusian delegation .The Russian party is headed by chairman of the Gazprom’s board Valerie Globule and the Belarusian party – by minister for power-engineering Alyaksandr Azyarets, the Radio Svaboda was informed at the Gazprom’s press-service.

According to one of the direct participants of the negotiations, the Belarusian party has declared today that if the Gazprom agrees on the deferred payment than Belarus “will agree to pay the penalty interest on that amount”.

As it has been mentioned before the Belarusian party asks for the deferred payment of the amount of USD 500 million for gas. The payment deadline determined by the Gazprom expired 23 July.
