The panel of judges of the Minsk regional court remained valid the decision of the Myadzel regional court on expulsion of John the Baptist Pentecostal Church pastor Yaraslau Lukasik from the country.
The citizen of Poland Yaraslau Lukasik was charged of the activities “directed to”causing damage to the national security of Belarus in the sphere of religious relations”, the Radio Svaboda reports. The militia department of the Myadzel region where the pastor had been registered ordered him to leave Belarus before 7 June. He has been prohibited to enter the Belarusian territory for 5 years. Yaraslau Lukasik, his wife and their three children who are the citizens of Belarus left for Poland. Natallya Lukasik considers that today’s decision of the court was a pure formality and had been taken beforehand. “Until the present Belarusian authorities are in power my husband won’t get the entrance permission to Belarus”, the pastor’s wife considers. The Lukasiks’ are to appeal the court’s decision at the court of a higher instance.
