Alyaksandr Lukashenka: «No bread in Europe - neither today, nor tomorrow» 14:54, 26/07/2007
Today at the regular selector meeting dedicated to the harvesting campaign in Belarus A. Lukashenka predicted the crises of the world grain market, the Interfax reports.
“There is no bread either in Europe, or in Russia or Ukraine and it is not going to become available in future...For the last month the grain price in the world market has gone up by 50% , and bread prices in the shops of neighboring countries are growing fast”, Lukashenka declared at the selector meeting.
“The grain yield is good in the country. We have bought a considerable number of harvesters both locally-made and imported…If the yield is harvested quickly and effectively we shall not only meet the inside market requirements but make a considerable grain stock”, Lukashenka declared.
Meanwhile Lukashenka does not intend to help the countries of Europe which have run out of grains but is going to make a so-called “golden stock” of Belarus.
