Foodstuffs to be removed from markets, aren’t they 18:28, 30/07/2007
Sanitary services of Minsk have suggested stopping selling foodstuffs at the capital’s markets. The circular of the sanitary epidemic service of the Leninsky district has been sent to 5 markets of the Leninsky district of the capital.
It is obvious that the proposition has not been the sanitary service staff members’ amateurship and the similar circulars are likely to be received by other markets’ management. And later still other regions of Belarus are supposed to be covered. That is announced to be for the benefit of the inhabitants as the markets have been declared as not sufficiently equipped, if compared with the sanitary standards and rules, having no development projects. However, such deep concern about the people’s health has magically coincided in time with the Minsk trade department project of hypermarkets’ development. “As far as the sanitary inspection’s decision is concerned it is a constituent part of the general process of liquidating the competitors, among these being private entrepreneurs…It is clear that the sanitary inspector is a conventional tool for monopolization of trade, particularly foodstuffs selling “, Alyaksandr Patupa, chairman of the public association “Belarusian union of Entrepreneurs” expresses his viewpoint.
