Ploscha demonstrated at the Belarusian –Ukrainian boarder (Photo) :: Charter'97 :: News

Yuri Khaschavatsky‘s documentary “Ploscha” about the March 2006 events in Minsk has been demonstrated at the Belarusian –Ukrainian boarder. People waiting for their turn to cross the boarder form the Ukrainian side are approaching the car with a white-red-white flag and watching the film fragments on the notebook. The documentary DVDs are presented to everybody who cares.

According to the information rendered by coordinator of the “Solidarnost” initiative Alyaksandr Dzemchanka to the press-service of the United Civil Party Belarusian and Ukrainian citizens have been distributed the leaflets dwelling on the repressions in Belarus. The activists are calling the people to write letters to Alyaksandr Kazulin, Andrei Klimau, Zmitzer Dashkevich and Artur Finkevich.

It is to be mentioned, that the action has started at 1.30 p.m. However long before the action began at the cross-boarder the Belarusian boarder guards had been detaining the people who seemed suspicious to them. Thus at 12 p.m. the activists of the United Civil Party Vital Stazharau and Alyaksandr Syarheenka were detained.
