Beaten up activist with cranium trauma taken to hospital 10:44, 17/08/2007
The youth activist Tatsytsyana Tishkevich after being beaten up on the Day of Solidarity is now hospitalized at the brain surgery department of the Minsk hospital #9. As the human rights’ activist Irina Toustik informed the Charter’97 press-center, the girl’s diagnoses made by the doctors was “light cranium trauma”.
Today in the hospital the girl was interrogated by the militiaman.
Tatsyana Tishkevich was beaten up 16 August when the youth activist Mikita Sasim was being detained. The girl tried to help the activist when late at night he was being detained at the “Moscow” cinema by the people in civilian clothes. They knocked her down and struck over the head with their feet.
