«Honest» journalists and «pure» internet on the agenda 17:53, 22/08/2007
The today’s priorities of education are ideological and social upbringing .That was declared by the chairman of the educational committee of the Minsk city executive committee Uladzimir Scherba who spoke at the pedagogical forum of the employees of educational organizations in the great hall of the Palace of Republic 22 August. Scherba particularly stressed the” problem of “dirty” internet “which is accessible to schoolchildren and students who get information there including the anti-state information”.
Ideological upbringing I appears to be especially relevant due to active social processes, the official remarked .According to him , social development of teachers and parent of contemporary youth was held in the ”state ideological vacuum and mosaic socio-political situation”, for this reason the educational institutions’ task is to “minimize the stress consequences of 1980s”.
According to the official, the special role is to be played by the update information and communication technologies. In this context Scherba paid special attention to the problem of “dirty internet” accessible to schoolchildren and students who get information there including the anti-state information. The settlement of the problem is viewed by the employee the Minsk city executive committee through adoption of the complex measures on creation of a safety information space. Such activities have already started at universities and other educational institutions. Thus, for example, at school 158 the information is coming to the internet kiosks through filters and is of exclusively educative and instructive nature.
In the very first years of his presidency Alyaksandr Lukashenka divided the journalists into “honest”(those working for state-run editions) and ”dishonest”(employed by the independent mass media). Now the split of internet into ”dirty” and “pure” is likely to start.
