Representative delegation of city mayors of Vietnam to visit Minsk in September :: Charter'97 :: News

A representative delegation of heads of city administrations of Vietnam will visit Minsk in mid-September. The foreign guests are intent on getting familiar with the work of their Belarusian colleagues in Minsk, Brest and Grodno. President of the Belarus-Vietnam Society Alexander Potantsev told BelTA, the visit will be held as part of the Vietnam Days in Belarus. The presentation of the event took place at Minsk’s Friendship House on August 30.

Belarusians will be able to learn more about Vietnam through visiting a Vietnamese photo exhibition at the Friendship House as well as an exposition of Vietnamese arts and crafts. As part of the Vietnam Days, which will last till September 25, a meeting with Belarusian veterans, who performed their international duty in Vietnam, is scheduled to take place.

Several important issues pertaining to the development of the Belarusian-Vietnamese cultural and economic cooperation are supposed to be discussed at a roundtable session, which will sum up results of the Vietnam Days in Belarus, on September 25.

Alexander Potantsev is convinced, the Vietnam Days in Belarus will make an essential contribution to the development of bilateral cultural and economic contacts.
