Uladzimir Kazheunikau , author of the news story “To Crow and Nothing More” published in the newspaper of the defense ministry of Belarus “For Motherland Glory” 25 August admitted that the article had been ordered.
Without any research to the problem raised by the “Belarusian Helsinki Committee” (BHC) human rights association on forced labor of military men Uladzimir Kazheunikau besmirched the professional reputation of the BHC and its member Harry Paganyaila.
Chairman of the BHC Tatstsyana Protska asked U .Kazheunikau to dwell upon certain issues concerning the publication. The journalist didn’t refuse but it appeared that he was not ready for the dialogue and could not find reasonable arguments for grounding his news story. Upon the end of the talk U. Kazheunikau admitted that the article had been ordered and that he even hadn’t made himself verify the facts.
Harry Paganyaila is to claim the case of the news story publication at the court for protection of his honor, dignity and professional reputation.
