Today morning youth activists tried a flash mob dedicated to the day of birth of head of the Emergency Commission (ChK) and founder of the KGB Felix Dzyarzhinsky. The monument to the well-known “chekist” was guarded by the extra militia squads. In the fixed time the militia vehicle arrived to the Dzyarzhinsky bust. Several dozen plainclothes men dispersed in the vicinity.
Youth intended to lay toy machineguns instead of flowers to the “chekist’s” monument for accentuating the nature of the “Iron Felix” and symbolizing massacre of Belarusians by the
Seven youths were detained at the Lenin and Karl Marks Streets crossing at 10.45 a.m. the activists have been kept at the Leninsky district interior department until present. Among the detained is the youth activist Franak Vyachorka. The district militia authorities arrived to the department.
