Rally Of Solidarity With Students Held In BSU

The student community plans to expand and to continue to attract attention of the administration to different problems.

Today at 12:20 Minsk time in the main building of the Belarusian State University students of the Belarusian State Polytechnic University placed a banner with the words of support of cancelling fees for makeup work.

“This protest is dedicated to International Students’ Day,” – a student of the BSU explained.

The administration of the university has a negative attitude towards this initiative, so they are searching those who are members of the association “Students Are Against”, and under a threat of expulsion, make students leave it, Nasha Niva informs.

“We want to attract attention of university administrations. If they don’t defer to our opinion, the situation is to get even worse, and it is to have a negative influence on the higher education in our country,” – students said.

The students’ community is going to expand and to continue drawing attention of administrations to different questions, as they have not received an answer concerning paid makeup work for students yet.

We remind that earlier students of the BSU collected 2,500 signatures in support of cancelling fees for makeup work and addressed them to the BSU head, but Siarhei Ablamejka hasn’t responded in any way.
