The Economic court of Minsk has initiated liquidation procedure in the case of bankruptcy of one of the oldest radio stations in Belarus – Alpha Radio.

According to the Economic court of Minsk, the bankruptcy proceedings against ZAO Alfa Radio were launched back on October 22, but the information about it was published on November 30 only. The crisis manager for the company is De Facto Legal Services Centre. For the next two months they are to accept all the claims of creditors, Ezhednevnik writes.

Alpha Radio started its broadcasting on the frequency 107.9 FM on March 21, 1999. First it broadcasted in Minsk and Minsk region, then Vitsebsk and Vitsebsk region.

In 2014 the Council of Ministers handed over the state-owned shares of ZAO Alfa Radio to the operational management of the editorial office of Sovetskaya Belorussia newspaper.
